My name is Anne Hooper-Brown and I am the Owner of Parkfield Nursery. I started my career in childcare in 1975. After studying for my NNEB qualification I worked in Carlisle’s only private children’s nursery. When it closed in 1983, I decided to open my own nursery and in January 1984 Parkfield opened its doors to 42 children. I had 3 members of staff working in 2 classrooms, we catered for children from 2 years old to school age and were only open during school term times. Move onto January 2024 when we celebrated our 40th birthday with 21 staff, 120 children aged 6 months to 5 years and open all year round.

I have always been a hands on owner but after COVID I decided to retire to spend more time with my family and leave Parkfield in the capable hands of an amazing team of dedicated professionals.
