At Parkfield Nursery, we regard the relationship with Parents/Carers as vital to the success of the development of your child. We aim to develop a partnership that is honest, open and trusting. This will ensure that we work together to give each child the support and guidance to suit their own individual needs.
Settling In
The first session is used as an introduction to Parkfield and need only last an hour during which time the Parent/Carer can remain in the nursery with their child. This can be repeated on another day if you so wish.
Children with additional needs are welcome at Parkfield. We will work closely with parents and external professionals to ensure that every child is fully supported during their time at Parkfield.
We hold parents evenings/afternoons and regularly send home Busy Day Books which give you an insight into your child's nursery day. We also encourage parents to share with us their child's life outside nursery.
Parents/Carers are always welcome to join us on our walks around the neighbourhood such as to the shops and the woods or longer trips to Tullie House and the Library. Parents/carers are always welcome to help in the nursery.
All the childcare staff are first aid trained.
